We have five teams again for 2026/27

The planning for season 2026/27 has reached an important point. After reviewing registrations numbers, the Committee has decided that we can register five teams again for the coming season.

Thank you to everyone who has registered so far. Getting registrations in early makes a real difference. It helps us understand numbers, build squads properly and prepare for the season with less guesswork.

With five teams now confirmed, full registrations will be turned off on Friday. After that, registration will open for casual players only.

Casual registrations will open after full registration closes

After full registration closes, we will open registration for casual players.

The casual option will be available at $25, plus shirts and the Cricket Australia fee, which we cannot waive. Just note that casual players are there for if we need them - there is a slim possibility of not playing a game, though, in practice casual players will get a few games.

This also gives players a way to stay involved if they cannot commit to the full season. It may suit players who are unsure about availability, have other weekend commitments, or only expect to play from time to time.

Finalising registrations helps the season start with fewer loose ends.

What happens next

The next stage is about finalising the details.

With five teams confirmed, the Committee will continue working through squads, communication and season preparation. More information will be shared as planning continues.

Regards,

Bill
